Car Crash

This happened last week. Monday May, 18, 2015. It was late at night. Past 9pm. So me and my family along with 2 friends were on our way back from a play. We just went to see the school version of RENT. It was brilliant. So we are driving. I’m in the back with my brother and 1 other friend, singing the score from the play. What happens next, happens in a split second. SO my father is making a turn. We have the light and the right of way. We are following another car when, out of no where, a car hits us, trying to make the light. It hits our front tire, passenger side. It was scary. We are all okay though, no one got hurt. So my dad gets out of the car to deal with the situation.It starts then smelling funky. My brother points out steam coming out of the other car. We all get out through the drivers door since the left door is broken (not from the crash). So we all gather on the sidewalk. I, of course take pictures of our car. My older brother calls my mum to tell her. A witness of the event, calls the police. My dad is talking with the other driver. A parent of a friend of my sister’s drove by and took my two younger siblings home. The police came and were questioning us. The other driver pulled their car away from ours and pulled it off to the side. Our car, on the other hand, wasn’t driving anywhere. My mum eventually came and drove me and my older brother home. Our friends mother came to take them home. The next day my mum had a rental car and I left for 2 days. I don’t think we are getting the minivan back. We are going to get a new car.

Thank god no one was hurt. We are all fine just slightly shook up. Please Drive safe. If this had happened a second later, My sister and younger brother might have been badly hurt.
