Concert/Birthday

So My mum bought tickets for me and her to go see 5SOS on Aug. 2nd, in Tinley, IL. That's the day before my 17th birthday, my first concert EVER, We're on the floor, and I'm flying out to go see them. How freaking cool is that? I'm so excited, I just can't hide it. If any of you are going to it, make sure to come say hi. I’m gonna bring a poster just because. Oh, and I'm gonna spend about a week in Chicago for my birthday. All I have to do is complete a list of challenges. I haven't been able to do things I want because of my anxiety and fears. (see earlier blog post for anxiety) So if I want to go to Chicago and go see 5SOS, I have to conquer some fears first.

1. talk to at least 3 strangers. I have missed out on many things because I was to scared to ring a doorbell or go up to the front desk. Its to overcome my fear that not everyone is scary.
2. wear a glow stick on your wrist all evening or blow up a whole bag of balloons until they pop. These are a bit more of irrational fears. Since balloons scare me just a bit more, I will be wearing a glow stick on my wrist.
3. squish an icky bug. I hate bugs. Some I won't go near and some that I'm okay with squishing. I already killed a fly but my parents don't think it counts. I'm not gonna squish a bee. (there are carpenter bees in our basement). And I will not squish a spider. So If I happen to see a silverfish, I'll squish it. I actual happened to find a small spider crawling around my room. I'm terrified of them so I squished it along with 2 beetle things.
4. cook something in the oven. I did this already. I made a roasted chicken with my mum's guidance. It tasted amazing. I'm now a bit more okay with using the oven but you won't see me opening a restaurant an time soon.
5. take out the garbage pails by yourself. I just hate taking them out because they are in the garage and there are bugs in the garage. I at first thought she meant the recycling pails also until I said I'll take 3 of them out (there are 5 pails all together) and she reminded me that we only have 2. This took for ever. My dad helped with the first and In order to take the second one out, I kept chanting to myself, I know i can, I know I can.

All that's left is too talk to three strangers, which will hopefully be accomplished later today when it hopefully stops raining.

-KC signing off xx

UPDATE******
